9/11, Tea Party response

Michelle Bachmann,Tea Party candidate for the presidency in 2012 has slammed President Obama for NATO's airstrikes on Libya and his foolish intervention in the country.

We are hearing that potentially 10 to 30,000 people could have been killed in NATO strikes, Bachmann says, ignoring the role played by President Obama in toppling the tyrant Colonel Gaddafi and killing Osama bin Laden.

The Tea Party is more supportive of George W. Bush, praising him for his role in the War on Terror.

The Tea Party even believes that former president Bush deserves praise for killing Osama bin Laden, not President Obama. A Tea Party spokesman said, Obama is just picking the fruit from a tree planted by President Bush.

Tea Party recalls

We talk to a Tea Party supporter in Texas about the meaning of 9/11 ten years on:

The terrorist attack on 9/11 was unique in the history of the world. Evil forces took their war to the United States, which is a beacon of hope, light, and freedom in the world.

President Bush's decision to invade Afghanistan and Iraq was totally appropriate. No one attacks the United States and gets away with it.

Two eyes for an eye

Our enemies need to know, if you poke us in the eye, we will poke out both your eyes. If you knock out one of our teeth, we are going to crush your skull.

In many ways, the U.S. response, particularly under President Obama, has been too weak. We are the most powerful nation on earth. We have the most sophisticated weaponry. We have the best-trained military. We have state-of-the-art intelligence. In comparison, we are fighting guys with slingshots and pea shooters.

We must always honor our troops. We must always remember the thousands who gave their lives on 9/11. It is embarrassing for the United States still to be at war 10 years on.

Dark Ages

With our military might, we should have annihilated our enemies by now. We should have bombed them back into the Dark Ages. I don't care about civilian deaths. If you are our enemy, you deserve the full wrath of the United States.

Any individual or group or nation helping and harboring our enemies needs to know, we are going to wipe you out, no discussion. We are not going to build schools for you, which President Obama wants to do. We are not going to sit down at a table with you and talk. We are going to destroy you.

War on Terror

That should be the mission and message of the United States in the War on Terrror.

Finally, I pray for all the victims and families of those killed on 9/11 10 years ago. I honor our servicemen and women, our firefighters and law law enforcement. And I honor the brave, freedom-loving citizens of the United States of America, the greatest nation on earth.
