GOP frontrunner Newt Gingrich is under attack from a member of his own family.

His half-sister Candace Gingrich-Jones, director of Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights advocacy group, is backing Obama in 2012.

Candace says of her brother Newt: He is definitely on the wrong side of history when it comes to those [gay rights] issues.

Newt refused to attend his sister's wedding. She is married to Rebecca Gingrich-Jones.

Candace says she will work really, really hard to make sure that President Obama is re-elected next year no matter who the Republican candidate is.

Newt, former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, is performing well of the campiagn trail. But he is often his own worse enemy.

His personal life could cause problems with conservaties. He has been married three times. He met his current wife Callista while he was still married.
